Tact Switch

A tact switch, also known as a sensitive switch, is designed to activate when a specific operating force is applied. It enables on-off control by closing the circuit upon pressing and opening it once the pressure is released, ensuring momentary actuation.

The internal structure includes an insert, base, shrapnel, button, and cover plate. In waterproof models, a polyimide film is added to the shrapnel for enhanced protection against moisture, improving durability and reliability in challenging environments.

Tact Switch for Every Application

Tact switches are trusted across a wide range of electronic and household devices—such as audio systems, digital gadgets, remote controls, communication tools, security products, toys, computers, fitness gear, medical equipment, money detectors, and laser pointers. Their compact design, low contact resistance, and precise actuation ensure reliable performance and responsive input. With diverse specifications available, they offer versatile solutions for both consumer and industrial applications.

Tact Switch Related Issues

A tact switch is a momentary switch that closes the circuit when pressed and opens it when released, offering quick and reliable input control.
It features small contact resistance, compact size, precise actuation, and a wide range of specifications.
They are used in audio equipment, remote controls, home appliances, digital devices, and medical instruments.
High-quality tact switches can endure tens of thousands to millions of press cycles, depending on design and use.
Waterproof tact switches include a protective layer—often a polyimide film—making them suitable for humid or exposed environments.
Tact switches are generally designed for low-voltage, low-current applications and are not suitable for high-power loads.
